No Negativity November

I know everyone says this, but I really can't believe it's November. This year has been absolutely flying by. And now that we're heading in to the holiday season, it's bound to get even busier and go even faster. 

I've seen a lot of people doing the thankfulness month on Facebook. I think focusing on things people are grateful for is so important. There's not enough gratitude out there in the world. And what does it hurt to be grateful, and to tell those we're grateful for? 

Lately, I feel like there's been too much negativity as of late, at least on my end. With the pressures at school, my lack of sleep, and being pulled in so many directions, it's been difficult to keep my morale up. While I maintain a positive attitude as often as I can, I know there are moments I slip. So, therefore, I'm dubbing this month No Negativity November. 

Every time I feel a negative thought, moment, or phrase coming to mind or mouth, I'm going to attempt to stop it in its tracts. I will not, will NOT succumb to complaining. It does very little good and does nothing for my morale. So, I'm not doing it! 

Bring on a month of positivity, baby!

  1. You know that's an open invitation for someone to be totally brutal just to test you ... right? So, in your defense we give you one spout off! Really just picking on you. It's early, I obviously didn't get enough sleep & time changing always messes with me.

    I hope you have a wonderful November & nothing but positive things in your life. From reading your blog, I think you have had an awesome year so far. Your plans for next year make that one look pretty great too :) This is the best time of year when we get pain holidays off work...yayyyyy!!! Enjoy~

    How's training, lady?! Are you getting ready for all of this running craziness early next year?

  3. "Paid" holidays...lol!

    Training is going good. My 3rd week post marathon, easing my mileage back up. My left knee is being a little testy so I'm trying to "walk the line" - you know, the one that teeters to one side, you're OK, the other side, you're injured! All these races is craziness for sure. This will be the toughest physical thing I have done and I hope I can make it :) I booked our hotel (Carribean Beach) then I read they have 2-3 floors & no elevators...WHAT???! By the time I get back there Sunday afternoon after a 5K, 1/2 marathon & a full marathon maybe hubby can wrangle up a bystander to drag me up the stairs on a piece of cardboard...cause you know my sore legs are not gonna climb them!!!

  4. Eeek! Definitely make sure hubby is ready to get you up the stairs! Can you request a first floor room? I did when I did the Princess! Might be worth a shot!

  5. I'm going to try to remember to call them & see if I can get a first floor room. If not, Heaven help me!
